Nimirndhu Nil (aka) Nimirnthu Nil release expectation

Nimirndhu Nil directed by Samuthirakani and starring Jayam Ravi, Amala Paul and Soori among others, hits the screen this Friday, 7th March 2014. Samuthirakani attributes the following reasons to get soaked in the Nimirndhu Nil experience:
“As members of society we have travelled far away from our conscience and are at a stage when the lines between the right and wrong are extremely fogged. Mistakes are being justified and we are being driven more by outside forces than by our inner self. If we don’t introspect and change our ways now, it sure is a path to destruction for all of us.”

“I have recorded these negative changes in my film in a very entertaining manner. You will keep laughing in every scene but there will always be a subtext which you will realize upon a mild teasing of the outer layer”

“For the audience, it will be like flipping newspapers over the past six months, in an engaging manner. Towards the end, you will see a small card that says ‘the person who gave the bribe is arrested’

“There will be an interactive screenplay which will appear refreshing and there will be positive energy.”

“None of the cast members has acted. It would be clichéd to say that they have lived the role but that is the absolute truth”

“Jayam Ravi is one actor who will do anything for the director and he has given an amazing performance in double roles”

“For Amala Paul, this will be an important film in her career. She will be your girl next door. In today’s society, a woman has to take the course of lies to keep herself afloat. Therefore when you ask the character of Amala in the film, how many lies she will say in a day, she answers ‘10 minimum’. The maximum is left to the viewer’s imagination!!”

“Soori will be seen in a new dimension”

“Ragini Dwivedi’s character is a bold one and Sarathkumar is a CBI officer in the film”

“Neeya Naana fame Gopinath comes as himself. Through his character, I have shown the positive powers of a media person”

“There are many characters in the film which will be reflective of the numerous people that we encounter everyday in our life”

“There are five songs scored by G V Prakash which will be in sync with the flow of the story”

“Although Nimirndhu Nil in itself will be a huge highlight, my dialogues would draw that extra attention. Dialogues in every frame would be sharp, pithy but coated with a casual feel”

"My goal was to record what is happening ‘around us’ and ‘in us’ and in a way, I have shown a mirror to my audience and also the corrective path. Seeing Nimirndhu Nil, even if one person does a soul search and brings in a positive change, I consider that as my greatest success”
