No film shootings to happen on August 8 due to Karunanidhi's death

Tamil Film Producers Council has now announced that no film shooting will take place tomorrow (August 8), to mourn the death of our former Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi. No promotional events such as audio launch, trailer launch will also happen on the said date.
 

TFPC's official statement read - "The entire Tamil film fraternity has been taken aback after hearing the demise of Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister and legendary politician, Dr. Kalaignar M Karunanidhi. As a mark of respect to him, we hereby declare that no post-production works (editing, dubbing, re-recording, sound mixing) or audio launch events will happen tomorrow (August 8).

Cinema theatres will also be shut down, and no movie screenings will take place.  Tamil Film Producers Council sends its deepest and heartfelt condolences to Kalaignar's family. We also pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

TFPC also made a tweet saying, "#TFPC Producer Council expresses deep condolence over the demise of Former TN CM #Kalaignar #Karunanidhi. Makes an announcement that shooting of all movies will remain cancelled for tomorrow. RIP !"
