Former CM Kalaigner M Karunanidhi passes away

5-time Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi had been admitted in hospital early on Saturday due to a urinary tract infection. Official sources has confirmed that the nonagenarian breathed his last at 6:10 pm today. A man known for his political prowess and literary works, Karunanidhi has achieved a lot in all the fields he has set foot in. The DMK supremo has written close to 40 films, and a lot of books, poems, letters, and stage plays.

The legend's contribution to literature and Tamizh Language, on the whole, was of immense importance. The legacy of him is so great that he has never lost an election since 1957, except for 1984, which he didn't contest. He first became the chief minister when he was 45, and as of today, he is aged 94. In the half-a-decade long political journey, he has become a name synonymous to Tamil Nadu Politics. The way he brought in his propaganda into films that he wrote deserves a special mention.
