The producer of the latest Ajith - Siva film Vedalam, AM Rathnam shares his take on the massive opening response to the film in this conversation with Behindwoods,

 

"The huge opening of Vedalam proves that people would always love heroism based commercial entertainment films. Family audiences are experiencing a jolly ride with Vedalam. The impact of the rain is there for sure, particularly in the B,C stations as people would naturally find it tough to commute in the rains. But we expect the film to hold on well for the next 2 to 3 weeks."

 

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, the film has grossed around 3.2 crores in Chennai city after the first 6 days while the opening week TN gross will be crossing 50 crores.
