Dhanush and Vetrimaaran to revive something that’s truly big!

Dhanush is currently the man of the moment. Last week saw the release of his second Bollywood venture Shamitabh while his next flick, Anegan will hit the screens tomorrow. Pre-bookings for Anegan are going solid and with the entertainment tax exemption that the film enjoys, Dhanush is all set for a cannibalistic hunt at the box office.

He also has projects like Maari, an untitled flick with director Velraj, Prabhu Solomon’s next directorial and is also being rumoured to act in Maniratnam’s next bilingual movie and Anand L Rai’s Hindi movie as well . Apart from these non-stop list of projects, he is also expected to act in Vetrimaaran’s next movie titled Vada Chennai, which was planned long time back with Simbu. And Samantha is touted to bag the lead lady's role.

Our sources have hinted that Vada Chennai will be a movie about the transition of a person from his adolescence to his matured elderly days, with three distinct looks. This movie would be a semi period film, and is expected to be shot in a grand scale since it involves a lot of CG work to bring yesteryear's North Chennai back alive. It is also said that Dhanush would apparently be the ideal fit for the role and the project will supposedly start once Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are free from their respective current commitments.
