TUK TUK INFLUENCE ON TAMIL MASS HEROES!

Auto-rickshaws aka Tuk Tuks are more than a commutable transport in Tamil cinema. They have an emotion attached, thanks to Superstar Rajinikanth for associating an element to it. In Baasha, the under-world don is in disguise of an auto-driver and lives a low-key life. The opening song 'Naan autokaaran autokaaran' is still the anthem for ayudha poojai in many parts of Tamil Nadu. 

Not forgetting Pushkar-Gayathri's Oram Po, Tamil cinema makes use of the auto for varied reasons. Saran's Attagasam had a very famous comedy track making use of an auto. A little later, Vijay's Vettaikaran had him playing the role of a part-time auto-driver to meet the ends. When a Hollywood hero needs a Mustang, our heroes can pull off a mass scene with just an auto. 

The recent addition to the list is our ketta payyan Maari. A photo of Dhanush sporting the khaki in the film has raised the eyebrows. Is dhanush playing the role of an auto-driver? Will he get to throttle the accelerator and ride across the city? Let’s wait to know more.

All that we can say now is, whenever the heroes hopped into an auto-rickshaw, there has been some excitement. Let's wait for 17th July to find out!
