We had reported earlier that in Thalaivaa, Vijay would play the role of a dance troupe leader based in Australia. Even generally, he is known as a terrific dancer who can master any style with ease. In Thalaivaa he has tried the tap dance style and pulled it off convincingly too.

Director Vijay said that choreographers like Brindha, Sridhar, Gayathri, Dinesh and Chinni have worked in this film and they invested a lot of effort to match Vijay’s capabilities as he used to gracefully perform the steps conceptualized by them in double-quick time

Now at the editing table, the director is amazed seeing all the footage of Vijay’s effortless dance performance. During the making of the movie, the director was so caught up with work that he couldn’t enjoy Vijay’s dance but now during the post-production, he realizes what a ‘Dance King’ Vijay is.
