It is a Dubbed Version of Dhanush’s Hindi debut movie – Raanjhnaa. Thanks to the team for not cheating us by stating that it is a remake or direct Tamil movie. They have clearly advertised it as a TAMIL DUBBED Movie and hence, we can’t complain about the voice synch or nativity of the movie. Raanjhnaa which got released 2 weeks back was declared a “HIT”.

Story: It is love story between a Muslim girl and the son of a Tamil priest.
Dhanush – National Award Winning Actor proves to North Indian people that he deserves the award. He still looks like the one whom we saw in Thulluvatho Ilamai. Hence, school student character perfectly fits him.  He gets excellent opportunity to perform in the second half and he had done a brilliant job.

Sonam Kapoor- Her characterization in the movie is as important as the hero and she has done a wonderful job.
Supporting actors – Dhanush’s friend and one sided lover have acted really well. Dhanush’s friend timing dialogues was the major reason for success of the first half.
Music by A.R. Rahman had really worked out in the original version. But, in Tamil version, they have used his earlier movies songs as BGM which sounds quite odd.

Overall, first half of the movie was quite engaging with lots of fun. But, second half of the movie was too slow and will test the patience of the audience. For Tamil Audience, we are used to similar kind of stories, Dhanush’s brilliant acting & awesome A.R.R. Music. Hence, there is nothing much in this movie other than exceptional work by our 2 Tamilians – A.R.R & Dhanush.
First Half – 3.5 / 5, Second Half – 1.5 / 5

Rating of this movie by Common Man – 2.5 / 5
