This Goan SS music VJ turned actress was on cloud nine when she was chosen by Simbu for his Kettavan. Hardly had they shot for a month, rumors were afloat that she was ousted from the film as Simbu found her incompetent for the role. She kept denying these rumors but finally gave in and accepted that she is out of Kettavan.
Lekha

The project was almost shelved owing to financial troubles but luckily it has changed hands and is slated to hit the floors in March 2008. Meanwhile Lekha has landed a role in Sathya Jyothi Films' T.G. Thiagarajan's film Jayamkondaan. This is Sathya Jyothi Films' next project, after the hit Em Magan, which has Vinay of Unnaale Unnaale fame playing the lead and Bhavana his leading lady. Lekha Washington plays the second lead in this film, which according to her is a significant character. Mani Ratnam's protégé R. Kannan directs this film, the shooting for which is slated to commence on November 14th in Chennai.
