That apart there was a deluge of stars and prominent film personalities at INOX Chennai, which played a great host for the premiere of Kattradhu Tamil, on the breezy evening of 4th October 2007. A host of celebrities and other special invitees graced the occasion to watch the premiere thereby gesturing the Kattradhu Tamil team good luck on their phenomenal attempt. The film is written and directed by Ram and stars Jeeva and debutant Anjali in the lead with music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Director Ram, Jeeva, Yuvan Shankar Raja along with his mother, sister Bhavdharaini and brother Karthik Raja made their presence felt at the Premiere.

The other celebrities who marked their attendance at the event apart from Simbu, Dhanush, wife Aiswarya and Sandhya include directors Simbudevan, Priya V and Gautham Menon, actors Parthiban, Jittan Ramesh, Ajay, RJ Shiva, Nandha, Uma Padmanabhan, Harish Raghavendra, SPB Charan, Venkat Prabhu, Premji, Prasanna and lyricist Na. Muthukumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Babu, General Manager, INOX Chennai states "Having a premiere is the best way to promote a movie as it is a great platform for the cast and crew and celebrities to showcase their film in an interactive manner. It also creates an aura about the film that adds value to the eager audiences, patrons and people involved in the film. With initial responses and reviews proving to be constructive for Kattradhu Tamil after the movie’s grand opening at the box-office, the crew seemed visibly delighted with the outcome.
