Speculations
were ripe that Rajinikanth was to play the
role of Ravana in popular bollywood director
Rajkumar Santoshi's Ramayana.It was said
that Santoshi had personally come down to
chennai to meet the Superstar, and described
his role in the film.Recent reports also
claimed that Rajini was seriously considering
taking up Ramayana as his next project.
However,Rajini
himself ended all further speculation
in a press meet yesterday.When asked
about the offer,Rajini categorically
denied having accepted the role and
stated that all news relating him
to the project were false.
On another note,the Pune schedule
of Sivaji's shooting was successfully
completed and Rajini has performed
some dare devilry during the final
days of shooting.He is said to have
made a 100 feet jump,without using
any dupes for a shot.This scene is
a highlight in Sivaji and the entire
unit was all praise for the Superstar.
