Rumors
hover around the release dates of Dasavatharam
and Sivaji. Though unconfirmed sources reveal
that both the mega movies are slated to
be released on the same day – April
14, the Tamil New year day – many
shrug this news as rumors for valid reasons.
Now
though, it appears that the Dasavatharam
stable is in a dilemma on the release
date.
Reasons are many. While Sivaji ’s
shoots are expected to be wrapped
up in December, the movie has plenty
of time for the postproduction works
to be carried out. Not the same in
the case of Dasavatharam, which is
only progressing and the shoots are
not likely to finish before March.
On the other hand, K.S.R seems not
want to rush since Kamal has 10 different
roles. If the characters are not crafted
with perfection, he knows that the
movie will turn out to be a disaster.
The
two-mega movies releasing on a same date
may prove catastrophic to either one of
them. The release of Sivaji is targeted
to cash in on the holiday season. Dasavatharam
team is in no rush to qualify the movie
to be released on the same date. It seems
that the producer is contemplating to release
Dasavatharam a few weeks after the release
of Sivaji, in which way both the flicks
can attain the immortal status at the box
office. Whatever be the reason, we are waiting.
