It is well-known that of all the heroes
in the Tamil industry, only Kamal
ploughs back his earnings in production.
Many of his home production films
have been successful, while some have
flopped. None of the other leading
heroes have taken this risk and usually
invest in safer avenues. Of the younger
crop of actors, Srikanth seems to
have developed a liking for producing
films. It is widely understood that
although his next film, Kizakku Kadarkarai
Salai, which was launched recently
is apparently produced by his manager,
Andhanan, he is the shadow producer.
