The fate of heroines in Indian film industry
is very short lived whereas the same thing
cannot be said about heroes who perpetually
waltz around the trees with heroines who are
young enough to be their great granddaughters.
This kind of trend is well accepted in tinsel
town. Going by the same trend, superstar’s
yester year heroine Seema who acted with him
in Kaali has been roped in to don the garb
of Simbu’s granny in his upcoming film
kaalai which is being produced by Nick Arts
Chakravarthy and directed by Tarun Gopi.

This film already has Uyir Sangeetha in a key role and
for the role of Simbu’s granny, it was reported
in the media that the little super star was very keen
about roping in Rekha from Bollywood. Though initial reports
confirmed that Rekha would be featuring in the film, later
it was said that she is not able to accept the film due
to her prior commitments. After this, many actresses were
considered but finally the role fell on Seema’s
lap. Seema is certainly not new to Tamil audience as she
has figured in many Tamil films and teleserials. Currently,
scenes involving hero Simbu, heroine Vedika and Sangeetha
are being shot and two songs sequences are scheduled to
be shot in Russia.
