Bhoopathy Pandian is renowned in Kollywood for his low-budget but highly successful flicks. His Thiruvilayadal Aarambam and Devathaiyai Kandein speak volumes about his abilities. The director is now busy directing Vishal in Malaikottai.

Sensing Bhoopathy Pandian’s style of work, the producers of Malaikottai have asked him not to worry about the cost of production involved.
Vishal

The sheer reason behind this is - the producers want the movie to be perfect in all aspects. Toeing in line with the producers’ wishes, the director has filmed the opening scene, where Vishal makes an entry, at a cost of 50 lakhs. The introductory scene alone was shot for seven days, sources say. Makes one wonder what this hype is all about.
