You must have already read about the air of
uncertainty that has been hanging over Vaaranam Aayiram. We did not know what was going on
after the colorful launch that took place
where Gautham had said that Vaaranam Aayiram
was his interpretation of Forrest Gump. Then
there was the heroine hunt which took quite
a while.

You thought everything was finalized, shooting began and
all was well. However it was short lived and after a month
of shooting everything came to a standstill.
It was then that Surya decided to concentrate on director
Hari’s Vel and allotted bulk dates for the same.
This did not go down well with Oscar Ravichandran, producer
of Vaaranam Aayiram and he lodged a complaint against
Surya. Before the issue gets out of hand Surya has chosen
to come out and clear his stand.
According to him, the script of Vaaranam Aayiram is yet
to be perfected and it may take some time. He said that
he could never overlook a project being directed by Gautham
as he was the one who gave his career a big lift with
Kakka Kakka. Surya said that he had waited a few days
for the Vaaranam Aayiram crew to complete the paperwork
but since he had not received any concrete information
had decided to go ahead with Vel. When everything is set
he is sure to join the sets of Vaaranam Aayiram and resume
shooting. Readers might remember that there was news earlier
that both Vaaranam Aayiram and Vel were being scheduled
simultaneously with Surya dividing his dates equally between
the two projects. Well, now that doesn’t seem to
be happening and Vel should be in all probability the
first to get completed.
As for Vaaranam Aayiram. There is no hurry. Every Tamil
movie buff will have very huge expectations when Gautham
joins hands with Surya for the first time after Kakka
Kakka and it is not going to be easy to do justice to
those expectations. Great things take time in making and
we hope Vaaranam Aayiram, whenever it happens will be
great. So, Gautham and Surya, though we would love to
see your film on screen as soon as possible we are willing
to wait. Take your time and give us a real treat.
We hope that all the clouds over Vaaranam Aayiram have
been cleared and that there is no misunderstanding anywhere.

time to time and more importantly we will tell you what
is happening with Vel. So Surya fans, watch out for Vel
