upsets Rani Mukherjee!! |

The
time is now ripe to announce the national
award winners for films and there might
be an upset and surprise winner this time.
Can any one of you guess who will win the
Best actress award this year? If you have
guessed it is Sarika, then full marks to
you… |

For
those of you who are less informed,
Sarika is the ex-wife of Kamal who
was a Bollywood actress before she
joined him in matrimony. She has totally
shifted her wings to Mumbai now, where
she does lot of multitasking like
acting, costume designing etc. The
grapevine says that she would be the
winner of Best actress award this
year for the less known movie ‘Parzania’
directed by Rahul Dholakia.
This
has set a pall of gloom in Rani Mukherjee’s
household. In fact Rani was a strong
contender for this award for her magical
performance in ‘Black’.

She
won laurels and many popular awards
for her role in ‘Black’
and was too sure to get best actress
award this year. Rani herself was
not available for comment but Father
Ram Mukherjee was visibly upset with
this and was curious to know about
‘Parzania’. He wondered
when and where such a film was released.
Parzania
is set in the riot-torn Gujarat where
a small boy goes missing. Sarika could
not be contacted for comment and the
director Rahul is in clouds. He feels
that it is a great honour for those
who worked for the film with passion,
conviction and belief. It is definitely
a morale booster for everyone involved
in the film. |

‘Kaalpurush’
by Buddhadeb Dasgupta has won the Best Film
Award. Dasgupta says that when the movie
won the award at Toronto, he was hopeful
that it may win an award at home also. |
