The Venice Film Festival
began on September 1st and will be on till
the 11th. Several films from across the
globe are being featured and film personalities
being honored during this fest. The director
of Raavan (Hindi version) Mani Ratnam was
honored with the Best Director Award during
this fest.
Accompanying Mani Ratnam were his wife
Suhasini and actor Vikram. Both Suhasini
and Vikram were also felicitated for their
contributions towards Raavan.
Speaking at the event, Mani Ratnam said
that Raavan has widened the borders of
Hindi cinema and has taken it to be next
level.
