In the Jai Ho concert briefing
held yesterday October 1, 2009 Rahman
requested with the fans to take
sufficient care while driving to
the concert venue. The concert will
be held near Mahabalipuram on ECR.
“The concert venue is quite
far from Chennai and I request fans
to drive safely to the venue. Most
importantly, I urge fans not to
drink and drive,” he said.
This will be Rahman’s first
concert in India after the Oscars.
Rahman also expressed his pleasure
in being a part of a charity concert
of this tune, the proceeds of which
will go to the underprivileged children.
“There are less and less live
concerts happening in India these
days. It’s heartening to see
this concert being organized and
I’m happy to be a part of
it,” he added.
