In a recent interview to a national daily, Suriya was questioned about his decision to dub for the Hindi version of Raktha Charithra in his own voice despite declining to do so initially. To this, the star had replied that the character he plays is a South Indian speaking Hindi and hence his Hindi accent was found to be appropriate for the role.

Suriya went on to add that he was trained by a professional Hindi teacher and experts guided him to get the accent right during the dubbing process. This has instilled the confidence to dub for RC, he added.
