Producers’ Council frames new rules

The Producers’ Council is gearing up to hold a general body meeting in December. According to our sources, the President of the Council, Mr. Rama Narayanan has sent a letter to all the members asking them to come up with issues that have been plaguing them in film production. The urgency of the meeting is due to issues like films exceeding its budget,

prolonged shooting schedules, and postponing the release date etc. Many producers lament that their films are being shelved due to the rise in the budget. This burning issue will be discussed apart from plans to reduce the actors’ pay packet. It is said that new rules and regulations will be brought into force to standardize the film shooting schedules and budget.
