Ajith drops out, what’s Gautham’s next?

Looks like the Ajith – Gautham Menon project, which was in its initial stages of conceptualization, has been called off. According to inside sources in the Sivaji Productions management, that has Ajith’s call sheets and was supposed to produce this venture, Gautham’s crammed schedules did not favor this venture. Gautham is committed for projects until 2010 and

has only 20 days to be allocated in the midst. Apparently, Ajith and officials at the Sivaji Productions did not want to rush up on this and decided to let it go. Also, sources are pointing to a difference in opinion between Gautham and Sivaji Productions, who don't seem to be too keen on entering into a first-copy basis arrangement with the director.

Now Ajith’s call sheets will be utilized for another project directed by Dharani, says unnamed sources. As for Gautham, he is planning to take up the half-finished Chennayil Oru Mazhaikkaalam. After which he will start a Telugu venture produced by UTV with Magesh Babu in the lead. On the cards is also another production venture of Ocher Studios.
