Movie buffs were puzzled over Mani Ratnam’s decision in naming his Ravan as Villain in Telugu. It may be noted that the Tamil version is named Raavanan and naturally it was expected that the film be titled Raavanudu in Telugu.

Mani has a reason to name it as Villain. Yes, that’s because the title has been registered by filmmaker Dasari Narayan Rao and he was not willing to part with it, we hear. So, Mani had to be content with Villain.

Raavanan is a trilingual film that has Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Prithviraj and Priyamani playing the lead roles. The movie will hit the silver screens in June.
