The
elections for the Cine Musicians Association
were held on 15th May 2010. For the
first time in the history of the CMA,
79 people contested the elections for
37 posts. The counting went on for 20
hours with Srinivasamurthy as the election
commissioner.
Kalyanasundaram was selected as the
President of the association, V Shankaran
as the General Secretary, and Pandian
as the Treasurer.
The Vice-Presidents are: Sekar, Selvaraj,
Thirunath Rao, Andrews, and Mahesh.
The Assistant Secretaries are: Rangarajan,
Selvaraj, Gopinath Sait, Narayan Rao
and Veeraraghavan.
It may be noted that of the 37 contestants
that contested under the aegis of Kalyanasundaram,
35 won the elections.
On 16th, May, all the winners took their
Oath and assumed office. |
