Kamal Haasan has issued
a statement that he has no intentions of participating
in the IIFA that is to be held in Sri Lanka
from June 4th to 6th. The actor has also clarified
that he was never a part of any of the previous
IIFAs and hence the question does not arise
now. The press statement follows in the wake
of demands from various sections of the society.
As the president of the FICCI and its entertainment
president, Kamal has made it clear that the
FICCI will have nothing to do with the IIFA.
He also appealed to all those concerned with
the FICCI to not participate in the event.
On the trade front, Kamal said that the FICCI
is too small an organization to decide on
it.
