Director Siddique of Friends and
Engal Anna fame said that he initially
narrated the story of the Malayalam
film Bodyguard, which he is directing
now, to Ilayathalapathy Vijay. However,
due to his prior commitment with
the Mollywood star Dileep, he started
the Malayalam version. The director
also said that Vijay is keen on
starring in the Tamil remake but
his dates are not available in the
near future and hence the project
has been put in the backburner for
now.
Siddique was quick enough to add
that he would start the Tamil version
once Vijay gives his go ahead. It
is worth mentioning here that Bodyguard
has Nayanthara as the female protagonist. |
