The
100th day celebrations of Angadi Theru were
held without much fanfare. The event was organized
at the Sri Narayanamoorthy theatre in Kancheepuram
and was attended by the film’s cast
including Mahesh, Anjali, Pandi, director
Vasantha Balan and producer Arun Pandiyan.
The director and the cast shared memories
associated with the film at the event.
Vasantha Balan’s Angaadi Theru received
critical reviews for its portrayal of the
miserable lives of shop assistants in one
of the malls in Chennai’s shopping district.
Interestingly, many of the malls in Chennai
employ people from the suburbs of Chennai,
including Kancheepuram.
