Popular actress Sathya
Priya, who had acted in character roles in
several films and in television serials, was
stolen of Rs. 60,000 cash and ATM cards. The
actress went to a hotel in T Nagar, close
to her residence, and ordered dinner from
her self-driven car.
The butler arrived to hand over the package,
she paid him the amount from her purse and
was ready to leave the place when auto driver
came running towards her car to inform her
that some of her cash was strewn on the road.
Believing him, she immediately got down from
the car and rushed to recover some 10 rupee
notes and when she came back she realized
that her purse was missing. The actress immediately
complained to the police who rushed to the
spot but failed to nail the culprit. Investigations
are on to bring the thief to book, police
sources say.
