Rotary
International District 3230, in cooperation
with the Chennai City Traffic Police
and the State Transport Department,
is conducting a major awareness program
SAFE Drive (Stay Accident Free Ever)
on January 29th, 2010. The initiative
will be inaugurated at the Women’s
Christian College in Chennai at 9
am under the auspices of Additional
Commissioner of Police Mr. Shakeel
Akhtar IPS, State Transport Commissioner
Shri. Machendranathan IAS and Rotary
Governor Shri W. Anand.
The human chain will be held in front
of about 80 colleges in Chennai and
Vellore, Kancheepuram, Tirupattur,
Ambur, Tiruvannamalai and about 40000
students and Rotarians are expected
to participate in the event.
Director Vasanth will open the pledge
board and playback singer Unni Krishnan
will administer the pledge. |
