Dr. Arivunidhi’s made a grand entry in Kollywood with the song Kadhal Vaibogame, which he had sung for the film Perumal. Though his paternal family is well known, with his grandfather M. Karunanidhi being the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Arivunidhi says that he derived his music skills from his maternal grandparents and father. He is the grandson of noted singer Chidambaram Jayaraman.

On his future course of action, Arivunidhi states that

he would continue to sing in films and will also produce movies. However, this avid singer says that he has no intentions of donning the greasepaint.
