film stalwart Dr Vishnuvardhan passed
away on Tuesday (29th, December 2009).
The Sahasa Simha, as he was affectionately
called by his fans, was laid to rest
along with full state honors. Vishnuvardhan’s
wife actress Bharati, along with daughters
Keerthi and Chandana, were present
at the Abhiman Studios where the body
was cremated. The Karanataka chief
minister BS Yedurappa and his cabinet
ministers were also present at the
funeral to pay their last respects
to the departed soul. The government
had announced that a memorial would
be built for Vishnuvardhan. |
