The theme song for the
Common Wealth Games 'Jiyo Utho Badho Jeeto'
(live,rise,ascend,win) was unveiled by its
composer Oscar winning music director AR
Rahman on August 28th 2010 in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Rahman said, “I wrote the first line
six months back and kept tweaking it till
I finally finished it last night (Friday).
It is definitely an honor to compose the
official theme song, which is in the spirit
of the Commonwealth Games.”
The Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit
said that this CWG is going to be most
memorable games ever held in the history.
