Idayakani
Vasagar Vizha and MGR Thirunal Vizha, which
was arranged by Idayakani magazine’s editor
Vijayan, were held at Chinnalapatti in Dindigul
district. The event began at 9 AM at KKR marriage
hall in which a free health care camp and
an MGR photo exhibition were held. Later in
the evening, the Thanga Tharagai Amma Orchestra’s
Alwin Thangavel enthralled the audience with
MGR songs.
Film personalities Yaar Kannan, Singamuthu,
Mayilsamy, Kumaresan, among others, participated
in this event. Speaking at this function,
Singamuthu said that Karnan was known for
his philanthropy during the ancient times,
but MGR proved to be the living Karnan during
our life time.
