Director Shankar was
in talks with Shah Rukh Khan for Robot (Endhiran
in Tamil) but it fizzled out due to reasons
best known to the duo. Later, Shankar went
on to direct the film with Rajinikanth and
Aishwarya Rai in the lead and the film is
due to be released in September.
But director Shankar was caught in a
fix when Shah Rukh registered the titled
Robot and reported to the press that he
would soon commence a film by that name.
However, the issue was amicably sorted
out with the actor-producer transferring
the rights on the title to Shankar.
