The
audio of Sindhu Samaveli was launched at Sathyam
Cinemas today. Captain TV’s L Sudheesh released
the audio and it was received by Sun TV’s
Hansraj Saxena. Those present at the event
included Parthiban, Cheran, Bhagyaraj, and
Rama Narayanan.
Speaking about his film, director Sami said
that his earlier films – Mirugam and Uyir
– dealt with sexual relations and many wondered
if he was adept only in dealing with subjects
in those lines. The director pointed out that
veteran director K Balachandar is known for
dealing with subjects on feelings and relationships
and since he has not been working on films
for the past few years, he decided to fill
in the gap.
Cheran said that the communication between
the director and producer is important for
the success of the movie. “A director sets
a trend when he deals with controversial subjects
not compromising with the whims and fancies
of the producer”, Cheran said. He added that
the producer is one of the major reasons if
a film’s subject is deemed controversial.
