Prakash Raj had always maintained
that Abhiyum Naanum, which he had
produced, will remain close to his
heart. The film had Trisha play
Prakash Raj’s daughter and
beautifully etches out the relationship
between a father and daughter.
Soon after the success of the film
in Tamil, it was decided to remake
it in Kannada and this time around
Prakash Raj decided to don the director’s
cap himself. The groundwork for
the remake has been completed. As
per our sources Divya Spandana has
been roped in to play the role that
Trisha had portrayed in Tamil.
Abhiyum Naanum had catapulted the
star status of Trisha several notches
up because it had ample scope for
her to perform. With Divya taking
up the same role, it needs to seen
if it works wonders in her career
too.
