Shah Rukh Khan’s next film, My Name is Khan, is all about the travails of a Muslim in the US post 9/11. Incidentally, SRK’s recent detention at the Newark Airport bears a strong resemblance to this storyline. According to Khan, he was placed under detention by the US authorities because of his name.

The star returned to India after participating in the Independence Day events in the US on Tuesday (August 18th) to a rousing reception by his fans. While there were huge expectations that SRK would address the media at the airport, he preferred to leave for his residence immediately.

Though the King Khan made angry statements soon after the incident, he termed it as unfortunate later.
