Actor and philanthropist Lawrence
will be honored by the Tamil Nadu
Government on the Independence Day
with the ‘Humanitarian’
award. The award will be conferred
upon him during the Independence
Day celebrations, a government press
release stated. Lawrence expressed
his gratitude to the Chief Minister
for the award and assured that he
would continue his gestures towards
the poor and the needy.
Lawrence is known for his philanthropic
activities in the movie circles.
He often conducts shows of talented
dancers who are physically challenged.
There are numerous orphan children
in his care and his Trust provides
financial assistance for heart surgeries
every year for kids who come from
financially backward families.
