Kamal bags the most expensive Indian film

It is now officially announced that Kamal Haasan’s Marma Yogi will be produced jointly by Pyramid Saimira and Raj Kamal Films International. The parties concerned have now arrived at a budget of Rs. 1.25 billion. This astounding budget makes Marma Yogi the most expensive film ever to be made in the history of Indian

cinema. It has been disclosed that the film is based on the novel Vendetta: The Story of One Forgotten, penned by Marie Corelli in 1886. Marma Yogi will be a trilingual – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi – and talks are on to make an English version.
