Madrasapattinam
is a tragedy like Titanic, we hear. Well, it
is not a story based on a ship but is set in
the pre-independence era. Sources report that
the film is based on the pre-Independence era
during which the hero Arya, a son of a dobhi,
and a British lady (played by Amy Jackson) fall
in love. Following strict resistance from the
families, the lovers could not unite and the
heroine goes back to her native country.
After 50 years, Amy comes back to India to trace
her long lost lover. The climax of Madrasapattinam
is so similar to Titanic, particularly the tragedy
