During
the launch of the film Kanimozhi, director Vasantha Balan
commented on director K Balachandar’s
opinion that directors should not take too much
time to make a film. According to Vasantha Balan,
it is a director’s liberty to take as
much time needed to make a film. This statement
came in as a surprise for many because Vasantha Balan
debuted under K Balachandar’s production
house.
Reacting to Vasantha Balan’s statement
and agreeing with the legendary director, Venkat
Prabhu said, “A producer faces many difficulties
to produce a film, even takes loans at very
high rates of interest. Therefore, a director
has to work within the constraints of time.”
