Rahman received one of the top honors of the
country – the Padma Bhushan – at
the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday (March 31st,
2010). Soon after receiving the award, Rahman
said that he is happy and deeply honored on
being bestowed with the Padma Bhushan award.
The President of India, Pratibha Patil conferred
the Padma Bhushan at a glittering function.
Rahman was accompanied by his mother Kareema
Begum.
Noted Bollywood star Aamir Khan also received
the Padma Bhushan award yesterday.
