Following the death of Otto Warmbier, a 22-year-old student who had been jailed in North Korea for more than 15 months, US President Donald Trump has called North Korea a “brutal regime”. Acting on humanitarian grounds, North Korea returned Otto Warmbier to the US last week and said he had been in a coma for a year. the student was jailed for trying to steal a propaganda sign from a hotel.
