Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday reportedly announced that the national Goods and Services Tax (GST) would be launched at midnight on June 30. Jaitley also announced that President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and two of his predecessors would be present at the inaugural function. Notably, the inaugural function is scheduled to happen at a special midnight session in Parliament.
