According to reports, the billionaire Chairman of Bharti Airtel, Sunil Bharti Mittal took home a salary of over ₹30 crore in the financial year 2016-17. His annual package was over 8% higher than the previous year when Mittal had drawn a salary of ₹27.8 crore. Notably, Mittal was re-appointed as Chairman of the company last year for a five-year term.
