The Department of Atomic Energy of India is all set to commission the country’s first fast breeder reactor in Kalpakkam. According to PTI reports, the nuclear reactor is ultra-modern indigenously designed and locally mastered. Notably, India will become the second largest country after Russia to commercially generate electricity using the fast breeder reactor.
