Former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor filed a defamation case against Republic TV’s founder Arnab Goswami and ARG Outlier Media in the Delhi High Court on Friday. In a 151-page lawsuit, Tharoor sought out for Rs 2 crores as damages and compensation and also seeking an injunction which will prevent Republic TV from broadcasting any programmes related to the death of Tharoor’s late wife Sunanda Pushkar, till police investigation is completed. Further, Tharoor also accused Goswami of resorting to deliberate, unethical and brash journalism, with malicious intent.
