Miscreants have reportedly poured mercury on the recently constructed golden base (Panchavargathara) of the flag mast in Kerala's iconic Sabarimala shrine causing discoloration. According to reports, the police have reportedly arrested three persons after reviewing the CCTV visuals. Notably, the golden base of the mast is covered with 9.16 kg of gold, 300 kg of copper and 17 kg of silver.
