White House cancels iftar dinner, first time in over 20 years

According to a report by the Washington Post, the White House, occupied by current US President Donald Trump, has failed to recognise Ramadan, with an iftar or Eid celebration, making it the first time in over two decades. Notably, the practice was reportedly followed under the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations. Meanwhile, the White House officials have not responded to repeated requests for comment, when asked as to why the Trump administration overlooked the practice.
