India to study the origin of ‘Ram Setu’ bridge

The Indian government is reportedly planning to conduct a study on the origin of the Ram Setu, the limestone bridge between India and Sri Lanka. The study will reportedly determine whether the bridge was natural or a man-made structure. The Indian Council of Historical Research, a body under the HRD Ministry will reportedly undertake the study. The pilot project is expected to start around October 2017.
